Yes, you can watch from the Westin. As Joe said, the cruise ships only come in when the races are not active.

just an f.y.i.
I believe the cruise ship schedule is worked out with the KW Chamber well before race week and they are scheduled to come in on tues/thurs/sat. of race week.
The race boats are allowed to test on those days but can't go into the harbor and have to stay out a distance from the ships.
This is from saturday testing 2008...it's always VERY busy with 2 cranes working.

We are staying at a bed and breakfast with three other couples from LEOPA and several others are renting a house where they will most likely have a party.

Since you will be at the Westin, and the viewing is supposed to be good I think you should invite your fellow LEOPANS to hang out with you guys:drink: Last time we went a bunch of us
watched from the Ocean Key House, I think RHC booked a table for a $100 or two on their deck and we all pitched in.

One year I tried to organize a party on the Sebago since they were a turn boat and we wound up not going but the people that did said it was awesome. Has anyone watched from there recently.

Ms PatriYacht 08-19-2009 12:57 PM

Pat have they used the Sebago over the last few years for a turn boat.
