chalky NXT drive???
saw vee (won't post what boat out of respect for owner) with a chalky nxt drive last week. He's got 700's with nxt's. I didn't think these drives would do this. Any one got any info on why that would have happened? the guy use the wrong gear lube?

I have never seen any build up on NXT's. I wonder what is causing it???
|
lack of proper care?

it may not actually be overheating. Other drives having an external cooling system like the aftermarket Bravo ones keep the case pretty clean because of the constant water flow on them. Pending on what water this boat is in it may not take much to chalk it up with just a little heat.

I have had this happen on several Bravos. Some never saw salt water. All had showers. I attributed it to heat affecting the paint.
BTW. Salt Away takes it off nicely and keeps the black paint looking brand new. . |
