copying pictures posted in threads

i've noticed in a few threads with cool pics posted and some members reply with "hey can ya e-mail me that pic" or somthing like that. so i thuoght i'd put up a little public service announcement for some of the less computer literate.

when you see a pic that you want just move your cursor anywhere on the pic and right click. a little drop down screen will pop up and it will have "save picture as" on it. right click that and one more window will pop up with the "save in" field on it. select where you want it ( usually its C/my documents or whatever else you want) hit save, and you have it.maks sure you remember where you put it.

if "save picture" is not on the first drop own screen the pic is not avaliable for copy, this usually is the case on sites like freeze frame and others. i have never had a problem pulling pics from this site though

anyone feel free to add to this if you can simplify or if i have skipped anything. also dont remember if anyone has ever posted this info before? if so it bears repeating :D

wonder if this considered "splashing" pictures

That works great most of the time, but sometimes certain sites that are a little protective about their pics will disable that feature of "Saving Picture as." In this case you need to take a screen capture.

This is simple. When the picture you want is on your screen, simply push the Alt-Printscreen buttons at the same time. This will capture everything on the screen...

Now you can open up your favorite picture or photo editing program and paste as a new image.

Crop away what you don't want and save it where ever you want with whatever name you call it.

well okay now i feel in control
I happen to be a senior engineer for a mastercard company and the little trick I learned instead of doing a screen shot
Is plain and simple and these bastards that think they can prevent you from copying their stuff are totally wrong

Move you mouse over a pic
Right mouse click it, if SAVE AS is not present
hold the left mouse button down over pic and at the same time right mouse click the pic
I promise you the SAVE AS will appear and the pic is yours for the taking
Screw those porn and other sites that want to retain their pics, SCREW YOU I CAN BEAT YOU EVERY TIME MUHAHAHAHAHAHA
I AM THE MASTER

Try it brothers!!!! You too can have any pic posted on internet
and Glass Dave, get my WIFE OFF OF YOUR POST
lol just kidding, but it does look like my wife !!!
Good luck my friends with your now super sneaky way to steal pics off of everyone that thinks they are cool and badass
we are just cooler and more bad ass
Jason

LMAO :D :D :D

Thanks for the photo Glass.......I do believe I will 'right click' that bad boy, and share with some of my less fortunate (not OSO members) buds. Hurry up summer............

It seems as if the pictures that are on oso are .php files. I have no idea as to what program opens them, so I usually just use the alt/print screen trick that I got from Baja Daze.
