WTF NEXT !! MY FAMILY JUST CANT WIN 28 days ago my mother passed away after loosing a battle with ovarian cancer AND NOW...my father went in this AM for a routine colonoscopy and the found a malignent tumor in his upper intestine, catscan tomorrow and want to schedule him for surgery next week....SOMEBODY HELP US PLEASE !!

I wish i could help u,,,but i guess all i can do is tell u to hang in there.
I will pray for your best !!!

I know what you are going through, we lost both of our mothers, an aunt, a cousin and 2 dear friends within a period of 6 months... all from illnesses/natural causes.

Try to be strong for your family. I know exactly what you are going through.Been through it with my Mother, Father and Grandfather. My prayers will be with you and your family.

Bernie I am so sorry for you and your family "I can relate" 1982 was the start of a down hill trend and it was a nightmare! June 30 1982 my father was robbed and murderd. November 1982 my Grandfather died from a massive stroke, 1983 My mother was found to have cancer and passed away 3 months later, My uncle her twin brother same cancer passed 6 months later. Then my sister had a massive brain tumor "removed" then 1 year later crew back and removed again! Hopefully like my sister your Dad has a good ending its been over 20 years now and she is free and clear. My Heart goe's out to you brother. I pray for the best.

Lost my Father last week and with what I've been through the past 3 years, as some know, they say it will make you stronger. I believe only the strong survive but wounded. Life is hard, and when you become older, it becomes harder. Praying for you, your family, and your Father.

try to relax.....I feel your pain. Ive done more praying lately then ever, and will do so for your family. Take Care..

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I have had the most stressful 9 days of my life. My wife, age 36, underwent an emergency hysterectomy on 5/19, barely made it out of recovery, got an infection, couldn't sleep for 8 days b/c of pain but finally, yesterday saw the Dr. changed the meds and got an all clear from an oncologist. Has been peacefully sleeping for 36 hrs. Keep the faith.

Very sorry to hear! It seems like thats always how it happens. My thoughts are with you guys. I hope your dad comes out of this ok.

thanks all. i got him back up to NJ and in for a consult with Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia PA...he went in for surgery 6/26 they removed the tumor and approx 7-8 inches of his upper intestine. The surgery went well and no bag was needed. Now waiting on pathology results to see what the deal is with chemo.

I think about your situation often. Best you can do is make sure he sticks to the recommended treatment.

Watching my son go through six rounds of level 5 chemo was tough. He is 18 months in remission now and the discomfort is mostly forgotten.

Be strong.

thank you all VERY VERY much...pops is feeling better, hoping his appetite comes back. the labs came back and they staged him at 3B...siiighe. the lymph nodes they removed were also "involved" and he is to start chemo the 3rd or 4th week of august. he has an appointment 7/30 with the oncologist to discuss the treatment and to find out how long n how strong of a cocktail he'll be receiving...dejavu really has him spooked. was 2 days from the year anniversary my mother was diagnosed....
