2004 Outerlimits GTX 47

Is this too big for Central Texas lakes? I would occasionally run the boat in the Gulf too.

Would it be a safer bet to just buy a Cigarette like most people seem to do? Or maybe a newer boat altogether?

I also heard a rumor that one of the previous owner's boats sank at some show or something like that. I hope it wasn't this one...I just don't follow these discussions very often.

Any help on pros and cons would really be appreciated.

it was the 51 that was sunk at lauderdale.

That boat is mint. It was not this boat that sunk but as saxman said, it was the guy's next 51 GTX with Triple 1075's that sunk at the Lauderdale show.

If you're looking for a GTX you won't find a nicer one than that 47.

would you consider a 42' for 1/3 less? If so let me know!

Heck of a nice boat. Not too big for Texas lakes, but you are going to mile without fulltime AC. I think yiou can add an engine driven system to cool the cabin if there isn't one already. Depending how much you use the boat, you may want to budget for rebuilds within the next year of ownership.

Katman are you talking about the Highland Lakes of Austin? None of them are very big so I think a 42 would be best. The 42 will be fine in the Gulf as well.

The top is removable. AC is nice but not necessary if you drop the lid.

I just dropped my boat off today at Matthew's place, I'd be happy to take a look at it if you'd like. Looks pretty clean. I should be back down next weekend.

I guess it used to have some really big power before. I wonder if that means anything as far as the boat's longevity is concerned.

Also says in that ad "primary & secondary air" so I'm assuming that AC is still included. If it did 138 MPH with 1500 Sterlings, I wonder what it does with 1075 SCi's...100 MPH?
