Genmar is a unique collection of America's top brands in recreational boating. Founder Irwin L. Jacobs, who has a passion for family boating and fishing, acquired his first boat company in 1978. The company grew steadily through acquisitions to become a dominant force in the marine industry.

Building a product of exceptional quality has established Genmar® as one of the world's largest manufacturers of recreational boats. Genmar, the marine industry leader in technology, manufacturing innovation and environmental quality, continuously strives to improve its manufacturing techniques and its award-winning technologies like the VEC® process (Virtual Engineered Composites®) and Roplene® roto-molded polyethylene.

Genmar products can be found in all 50 states and six continents, and some of its companies have been building boats since the early 1900s. Genmar has earned a leadership role in the boat building industry through innovation, strong management and exceptional service. Genmar is privately held and is not a division of an engine company.

Question Is there a doctor in the House!

As you say, a lot of great boat brands from a great company. I hope they can get some good help from bankruptcy without hurting their suppliers, employees and customers. There are probably going to be some more of this in the industry before its over.
This economy sucks for the boating industry! I hope we will all be here after the smoke clears!
Good Luck to them!

Best Regards,
Ray @ Raylar
