I cannot stress this to you enough USED propellers are not the way to go! You need propellers that are of the appropriate engineered thickness. With a 1200 HP engine you should not run props without the appropriate thickness and never with props who's history is unknown. I would seriously recommend that you call us or someone in the business, to get the correct propeller for your application.

Julie Can you provide new propellers by EOB Friday? I don't mind paying extra for new propellers. However, I need them this weekend!! |

Julie My point is if you can get the right prop through trial and error and then order the new set. |
Jim Darr might have a set.... :drink:

How about a pair of 5 Blade Hering 16 1/2 x 32 Pitch ?
I am unsure of Rake's.These were run on a 40' Skater SuperCat. More #6's available also, but they are less pitch.. Make an offer to [email protected]. More #6's- http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o29122-en.html http://inlinethumb58.webshots.com/30...500x500Q85.jpg |
Coincidence?

Why does this Jim Darr keep popping up?

I have a set of Herring 16.8" X 33 pitch, 20*. These are a really strong 33, 4% slip on my MTI. However the rake will give ALOT more bow lift. Maybe more that you want.

Ex. Gino had a set of 10 degree rake which I beleave the blades lay flatter. This would give less bow lift then a 20 degree? |

Ginos props are even less rake than the Turbine guys are running. I was really surprised when he said they were only 10 degrees of rake.

20 Degrees of rake, is a whole lot of rake! How did they perform on your MTI?
Julie I rarely use these as I had a new set of 38's built, again with the 20* rake. |

Ex. Gino had a set of 10 degree rake which I beleave the blades lay flatter. This would give less bow lift then a 20 degree? It is basically the angle of the trailing edge of the prop. The higher the rake the further the blade reaches back making the blades longer on the leading edge.. If I set my props down on the trailing edge tips, the back of the prop where the nut goes will be higher off of the surface the props are sitting on than a standard prop. |
