41 Apache tongue weight?

Does anyone know the tongue weight for a 41 Apache on a myco trailer?

Fred, a friend of mine is buying it but he can not do his own work on it. So when he finds out what it takes to maintain it it may be mine next season ;) Thats my master plan.:D

Ike- sorry to tell you, none of us can make that call. We can tell you what it should be.

If its a gooseneck trailer which is often the case on a boat this size it should fall in at 15-20% of the gross boat, trailer, fuel and "stuff" in the boat.

If it's a conventional trailer use a 10% figure, you more than likely need a weight distribution hitch allthough some newer trucks and hitches have larger capacities for wt carrying.

The only way to dial this in is with scales (at truck stops etc)- eyeballing the squat of the truck is very risky, especially with the variability in spring packages and trucks- ex- my 2500 Cummins Dodge QC SB does not even squat with 2k in the bed.

Unless you know that someone set this up properly allready you have no way of knowing hitch weight without the scale. I would not assume in this scenario- too much at risk. Good luck and safe trailering!:D
