I have a Ilmor 625 and really love it. Don't know about rebuild hours but the staff at Ilmor is great to work with. No complaints so far.

Ilmor is the sheite my friend.

As for the hours supposedly ilmor hasnt received engine 1 yet back for a freshening. 3-400 estimate on a 625 with only fluid changes. Its closed cooled.

My 710 gets 2.4 MPG and pushes my 27 ft boat 90MPH

Ilmor is one of the finest engineering companies on the planet.

Ilmors record speaks volumes more than me or anyone person on this or any boating site.

They idle like kittens and scream like 2 stroke dirt bikes.

Wink Top of the Line Power

The guys at Ilmor build a fantastic powerplant, great power, reliable, great looks and wonderful after sale support. Their new drive is a beautiful part also. You could not go wrong with an Ilmor package!

Best Regards,

I believe they have way less EFI sensors on their engines, And that could be a good thing, Less problems on the engine to slow your day of boating, because at some point you may be needing to look for why your warning horn keeps going off every 60 seconds with the other guys. Also if you can find a dodge auto dealer still open in you area they can plug in and run a EFI test with their same scaner tool they use on their cars/trucks. From what I under stand it is the same engine as the viper car they have.

Uncle Dave,

Can you comment on Ilmor price vs. Mercruiser? Ilmor 710 vs. 700 mercruiser? Thanks!
