anwser Martin

Good morning Sake,

Fountain does stand behind our product; however, this colored boat was against our recommendations and the original purchasers was fully informed that the black gel coat would indeed fade. Clearly, with the use that this boat has seen as a two year old boat, it has not been very well maintained.

Unfortunately, it appears that many if not all of the issues existed at the time that you purchased the vessel. That is the risk with a pre-owned vessel, and that is why manufacturers place limitations on their product warranties. It sounds like you need to have some general maintenance performed, and you should have the other issues resolved.

As for the deck, we recommended that the original owner paint the deck, but they insisted on gel coat despite our warning and the liability exclusion we provided with the boat. Black paint will have the boat looking sharp, and it will not fade like gel coat.
The vapor alarm may well be that the battery is getling low as the boat is stored.
CMI has replacement seals, and you can et them from us, CMI or Shogren Performance Marine.
You may just have a bad connection on the gauge, otherwise the gauge head and/or sender have failed. Check to see that he transducer has not come loose. It is located under the step going into the cabin.
Check to see that the fire extinguisher is fully charged, and has not been activated or leaked. This should be serviced by a qualified technician.

Please let me know if there is any other assistance I can provide.

You bought the boat used... site unseen... & now bad mouth the Manufacturer for its condition..... you are at fault.... not the manufacturer....
