You don't need to earn a profit, the tax savings alone would be worth it.

I was thinking of a cash only business or a barter system.

$100 for every half hour 2 person min max of 4 that includes 5 to 10 mins for leaving the harbor so you would get a 20min ride at speeds of 50/60/70/80 if there not scared. jet skis are 40 a 20min ride up here. sportfisher 42ft gets 110 or 120 a hour for cruising or fishing. IF your boat burns less than 40gals a hour you could lower it to $75 per person for every 1/2 for 2 or more people but single rider you would want to get $100 or $150. gas would be at $3.00 per gal 25 to 50 a hour = $75 to $150 so two people min you would make $250 per hour minus insurance, dock fee, ware and tear or by the day 6 to 8 hours 1200 to 1500. but you need a place to go stop have luch go sightseeing or to hiden beach or hard to get to sandbar. you could include sandwiches, water and soda, and make sure they sign a release form. well does this make sense or stupid idea. in mass you could take them to the Islands off the cape MV or NANTUCKET or around Boston Harbor Islands, A RUN ACROSS THE CAPE from plymouth to Ptown or put in southern mass go to newport and Block Island in the last 27 years I have done these trips in a 19footer and my baja 24ol a lot in the 1980s to early 2000s. it would be smoother in a older bigger boat.hahhaha but I always liked the excitement of airing out AIRTIME and seeing the white knuckles of my wifes hands coming back from trips to blockisland, on one trip the ferry was bouncing so much they stopped it and we were the only ones to leave it seemed, I told her see this is not to bad with those new k planes I bought, she *****ed about the price at 1st. we just cruise up on a angle to climb up over the waves didn't get wet made it past newport RI and it dropped to 3 footers in the bay it was a sunday and we needed to get home.

The only good reason for doing this IMO is to write off the boat and expenses.
