Even though he wasn't here he was the topic of conversation.

When I challanged him last week he sent me a that if he did take the challange, which he didn't, he wanted to keep the money, not donate it.
What a guy!!

He told Larry Goldman wasn't coming because Tommy from cheif won't let him race in the ocean. So I guess if he wasn't allowed it's not his fault, so lets not be too mean to him. I'm sure he would have come to support Larry and Brads event Just like Larry and Brad have supported his run the last 4 years!

Anyway, I did break on the way back. We broke the fitting on the oil return line so we were out of commission. We decided to leave the boat in Bimini and fly back rather than idle back for 5 hours on one motor.

Tomorrow I am going down to the race officials and i'm going to tell them I want a trophy for first place since I was way in the lead when I broke.
That is how it works isn't it? Everyone knows I was infront of everyone but Aquamania so they knew I was going to win!

It was a great day, Loose Cannon made it down as well as Jim Lee in Freedom. Johhny Tomilson raced with George Kovac and won the piston cat class. Bob Teague took second in the class.

This is my last post regarding little Willy Pyburn. I showed his true colors this weekend. I offered a reamtch which he ran and hid froom. He called Larry several times with his excuses and every phonecall he said, "I haven't rulled ut coming" I'm not sure. Well, I guess he rulled it out.
I would have thought after everything this past week, Since he's so sure can destroy and humiliate me, he would jhave jumped at the chance. Maybe he's not so sure or he just wasn't allowed! :evilb::wuerg019::traurig001:

Gino I know you and I am friends with Pyburn.Bill is and has the resources to stomp a mudhole in anyones azz!!Lets all get along on here and stop the Bullsh!t!!Bill is no one to be phucked with here!It comes down to who has the biggest wallet I know and I like both of you!

Regardless of the wallet size, it's really in poor taste to bang someone who had mechanical problems for not finishing a race you ducked out of.. Money doesn't equal class..

I didn't start the thread. Talk to your mudhole buddy. I was done posting about this crap days ago. Obviously it dosen't have much to do with wallet size because i'm a broke biotch compared to Bill. You have to have the balls to show up. Bill knew it might be a fair race and that just wouldn't be fair....to him!

We should have had a bookey take odds on if Pyburn was showing up. I had no less then 10 people come up to me and say "I'll bet anything he dosen't show"! Obviosly I couldn't take the bet because I knew he wouldn't show. I gave him 3 options to race, all 3 he had an excuse for.

Just think Bill, I broke a hose, you could have won! Unless I was out front when I broke, then it would have gone to me, Right?

First,Not going to be at LOTO at least not with the Mercedes boat.

Second, I don't bet. I would have for charity, which wasn't an option for you.

Well, that's a BUMMER. I thought for sure the factory would want you up here, flying their colors.

You don't bet? I am a little confused on that one. I could be wrong, but somebody told me you owned a casino?

I'm sorry that you had issues....you are the one that bashed me for a belt....I had no plans for going down south just like you don't have plans for going to LOTO...I never said I was coming down....I am glad to donate all of the money to charity, if you show at LOTO

Casino owners will bet only on the fact that other people will bet and loose.;)

I understand, you don't bet in your casino. I do believe that it is a smart move on your part.

You challenged Bill to a rematch and wanted the loser to donate 5k to a charity. (Is that not a bet or gamble that your going to win)

Your a multi-business owner. ( Is that not a bet or gamble that your going to succeed.)

We all jump in these fast boats. ( Is that not the ULTIMATE bet or gamble)

Please, Do not take this all wrong. I just think we all bet and gamble every day. One way or another it will be money related.:drink:

Let me clarify, I don't bet money. I have flipped a coin for dinner when at a deadlock for a check. I don't bet on horses, make cash bets in hope of winning cash.
The challange to Bill was going to be the loser makes a donation to the childrens charity.

I think you bashed yourself over the belt.
The whole argument is a waste of time. I agreed with your dad and dropped it when it turned from friendly busting chops to being nasty. If you remember I called to invite you and your wife to dinner. I even invited you to come and throttle my boat on the run to Gilberts today to hopefully put the crap behind us.
Even with your boys continueing to bash me all week I haven't responded in days.
Why you would start this thread is beyond me. All this does is take focus off this event which is for a good cause which has been conflict free.

I won't be at LOTO.......
at least not with the Mercedes boat.

I think you're taking this a little to the extreme. If you're "betting" with the proceeds going to a charity is a little different than betting for financial gain on your part. In this event the Charity is the the winner regardless who wins or looses the race.

Also with your analogy, isn't getting in your car every day a gamble? Isn't walking across the street a gamble or what about getting out of bed everyday.... isn't that a gamble?

I think you're taking Gino a little to literal for what he is trying to express. He's just looking to get two fast boats out and see who is fastest with a charity being the big winner here

Absolutely there are those who went and those who did not. It was a cool event once again I cannot believe how many boats sit on the trailer in the face of 106 miles.

Let's not confuse calculated risk with gambling.

5214 06-13-2009 01:30 PM

Let me get this straight...on a site named offshore only...one guy won't race 106 miles offshore, but wants to race one mile on a lake. And then talks trash to the guy who runs offshore for breaking down...am I missing something?

I apologize if you think I am taking this to the extreme. It just looked like a bet, sounded like a bet, but it wasn't a bet! I have been wrong before and I will be wrong again.

Isn't that what I was trying to say with the last sentence. (I think we all bet and gamble everyday.)

I don't know Gino, but I do know he's good for the sport, as is Bill. It does not matter to me if there is a bet or not. Look what it has done so far, it has put a little WWF into it. If these two finally hook pickleforks we will all be winners.(except for second place.) Now back to my dock were I will continue to be a shoreline quarterback

Wow this is just some cool trash talk. I dont believe its seriously personal is it?

Then I decided to read the whole thread and I answered my own question.

Wallet size is not the only thing, you have to have a competitive fire and not be afraid to loose. But hey If guys dont have plans in going to a event far away from their home then, sometimes the challenge has to wait.
