I agree. Any idea as to how many 30s they have built to date? 2, 3...? Haven't heard much on them over the past year or so.

My old AMT is for sale again here in NJ. If anyone is interested shoot me an email 300xAMT(at)optonline.net

The reason for the hull having several biulders was that the owner of AMT was not a manfacturer. Doug Wright helped design the boat and therefore built one boat (the first) which was a full canopied race .
Willey of Yellow Fin Yachts was contracted to build them originally. My old boat was the 3rd AMT (including the DW) built and the 1st pleasure deck. Willey stopped building the boats because he was back ordered with his own boats and put his focus there.
Andy (owner) then contracted with Lee of Deep V Cats to lay up the hulls. Lee was also building his own cats at the time.

I have not looked at one of Arnolds boats yet but have heard good things about his layup techniques.
If I were to buy a used outboard cat again I would buy the boat back.
Since the DW was full canopy I would be buying my same Willey built pleasure boat back.

email me your number if you have any questions.

Here is Predator's link. http://predatorpowerboats.com/v2/30cat.php

I think a race canopy boat with the hatches openned up more with Small Blocks and XRs would be the perfect PR boat on a budget.

Why small blocks on XR's versus Outboards?

No maintence, better sound, more speed, and I don't care for the look of outboards hanging off the back.
