I emailed Sharkey the other night about this BAD A$$ machine. I got to see her with my own eyes!!!! All I got to say is WOW!!!!!!
The innovative things that are going into this boat and so forth are amazing!!!! Really Bad A$$ as I said. I will not give the location out as I am sure the owner who I was suprised that I actually knew who he is(Great Guy) would not want visitors all the time as they are trying to complete this boat. Man if you threw a canopy on this thing and you run it in SV LITE SINGLE OR SBI A-Class or whatever. The technology in this thing would dominate the field I am sure. Can not wait to see the performance numbers on this thing when it hits the water. Anyone contacted Powerboat or Hotboat Magazine about this project?
Once again all I can say is BAD A$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dennis, We are quite fortunate the owner is taking photos of each step of the process of building something like this. Soon as I get more I will have them posted up on my website.....

looks different...BUT, what happens when you "plow" into or through a wave and those intake vents suck in tons of water?

The air scoops ventilate the 1st step in the bottom of the hull. The water would run out the bottom. As for the upper vents they are working on a plan for that. The tube will not run completely to the engine compartment. Let's just say, they are aware of the chance of a stuff. That was the reason also for the wide chine and additional strakes in the bow area.

Steve1 What are your thoughts on the Nomex Aluminum Honeycom Panels being used for the deck???

Steve 1 05-06-2002 11:25 PM

Sharkey just a quick Question before I answer: Is this going to be done with a room temperature cure system, or using an elevated temperture cure epoxy?

Best Regards
:)
