EFI Tuning
I was reading last months Performance Mag and saw an article between the difference of carb and EFI set up. The author went into detail the numerous tuning methods for an EFI. Are these done solely on a dyno or not at all?

Which Mag?
Do you have a link? :drink: |
Doing the tuning on the dyno is by far the best way for both carb and efi, especially efi. You can tune both in the boat but you can only tune the engine where it will run in the boat. Meaning, you can only put the engine under the load that will boat will let it. On the dyno, you can load it as hard or as easy as you want. If you tune the engine in the boat and happen to put it in another boat, you will need to fine tune it again. If it was done on the dyno, you will have accounted for any amount of load and it will work fine in the new boat. Hope this helps clear it up.

Off topic sorta, but , can you make a 4-7 firing order swap with a 500 efi without changing the efi program , just change the cam and spark plug wire's ?? Thanks guys !
