Mike A. 07-03-2009 01:02 PM

Thanks for the information. Sure looks right in the pics although they are from 2007! Did he say what kind of work it needed? Do they know if it actually runs?

offshoredrillin 07-03-2009 01:24 PM

Not sure how high you want to go Mike, but Dave at MDG has a bad ass superboat he is looking to move... I'm pretty sure its an 850 and konrad drive...410-956-5381

I traded it in on a 382 Formula about 3 years ago. It was such a neat boat I almost kept it for myself, just too much money at the time.Sold it to a customer in Orange Beach,AL.It was always maintained by Joe Blair at ProTec Marine in OB.Don't know current condition,Joe would know.If market conditions were better,I would buy it as a personal boat.Last time I saw it(2007) it was flawless.

my partner at work offered 30k today , and they were assured he could do the transaction today with no hiccups . Came back and said they couldnt do that , that they had a binder already for 37 pending financing on monday , but no deposit....

I do not think it is a Venom, I was told it was a splash of another LI boat.

Yeah, I think it is a stretched Superboat.

If that boat could be had for thirty something it would be one of the best deals I`ve ever seen!

plumbers crack 07-04-2009 06:48 PM

I am the original owner of the boat.Purchased brand new in o5 never rigged until I bought it. Brand new engine imco 3 inch shorty, its standoff box ran 88-90 mph with the 510 mrd .Traded it in on 382 fastech solid boat and fast.
Great paint pirate on deck is vinyl the rest airbrushed with clear coat.

New to this forum since I've been charged with selling the boat. The guy at $37K couldn't get his financing together, so boat is now actively for sale again.
It needs 2 new batteries and there's a dime-sized chip in the gelcoat left of the glovebox door.

Fuel tank was full and I'm waiting for the City to bring me some containers so we can empty 100 gallons for a "donation" to the City truck fleet.

Anybody wanting more information or care to make offers over $35K can contact me at rspickering at gulftel com

The Zekes ad is still running, but they have no contract to sell the boat anymore because it is bank-owned as of last Wednesday.

Hummm you have solid offer at 30K and jack ass who couldn't even put a down payment down at 37 walked BIG SURPRISE. I would yang off the arm of a guy at 30K if it is cash in hand/wire transfer. If I was that guy I would change my offer to 29K this week and adjust each week 1K down each week until the bank takes it. But what do I know I only sold 116 boats in 2006. Efing banks are STUPID Muthphuckers.:evilb::drink: and contrary to commercials on TV they are not lending money.

So who is Tim Wright? I received the following message in an email on Saturday:

"Where are you and how fast can you close(for the right deal)? Tim Wright
251-979-9000"

Magicfloat 07-06-2009 04:04 PM

Works for Zekes. Nice guy

OK. Thanks, but who is BamaBoy? And who really has the authority to sell the boat?

The man that came over to see the boat yesterday had spoken with (apparently) Tim Wright...and says he got a story, but that's hearsay. Maybe Tim doesn't know about the boat being re-po'd...and that's possible. BTW, yes, Tim is a nice guy.

Boat is in my driveway. If you want to talk with Wright, not a problem for me at all, but you won't be able to write a contract on it without him adding his commission to the price...after which he'll contact me to make a deal.

...:drink: easy, big fella, and take your meds! The guys with go-fasters must love to hear from experts like yourself that "know" how little their boats are Really worth. :bsflag:

I'm no expert, but if a 2006 is going for $72K, how much is proper deduct for one year older with 57 total hours? When Wright had the listing at $60K, he had several inquiries on the boat....so a selling price of $25K less isn't enough? I think it's an attractive price, and the $30K offer is but one of 5 in the past week, so maybe I need to raise the price in order to have offers come in a bit higher? The engine itself is worth more than that.

If you're burned out, get into another career that makes you happy. Knocking boat pricing and all banks isn't fair to you or to them.

No problem. I never heard back from Tim anyway. So, can you send me or post some updated pictures? The ones in the ad are two years old. Thanks.

bamaboy473 07-06-2009 05:07 PM

I have a lot of photos to share that are all taken in the past couple of days.

My e-mail address is [email protected] in case anybody want photos.

PM sent to you, Mike. Thanks for the interest.

Sorry for the heated post, Banks have just made me so damn mad this year I cannot see straight. I have banks that owe me around 26K I owe them $500, same bank diff division, told them to work it out, ya know do some math, they sick the efing dogs on me, and they owe me money. They never want to talk about what they owe me, just their bill:eek:

I had to file suit on a very big boat flooring company this year to get a 50K CD released when I closed my plan with them, when my rep got served in another state (thougth I couldn't do that) they realized I wasn't efing around. got my own money back.
So again sorry for the heated post, just banks have made me so mad this year.

bamaboy473 07-06-2009 06:21 PM

You are a gentleman for saying that. Hope things work out better as the year winds down.

Magicfloat 07-06-2009 09:07 PM

That particular Kyrptonite was one of the best ever built.Plumbers Crack spared no expense using the best of everything. And yes the MRD engine is worth what the whole rig can be bought for.I have no dog in this fight,I just know the boat, and when I had it,it was very desirable, and I am sure it still is.

As a new member of this forum, maybe I need to apologize to the OP and his henchman Miklos for providing information about the location and salability of the boat. The most bizarre exchange of messages this morning suggested that the world of selling specialized boats is fraught with pressure points produced by the experts...their purposes being to induce a selling price that's beneficial to their own interests.

I'm guilty of perhaps taking the joy of trading out of the equation by telling us all the bottom line price of the boat. As a buyer myself, I should have better realized that the thrill of the hunt is part of the experience, and that my efforts were not as well received as they were intended.

For anybody offended by a bottom line price being offered, I apologize, but with no regrets...'nuff said.

BamaBoy,

You have to be the absolute worst salesman I have ever come across and believe me, I have come across some terrible ones over the years. Good luck selling this boat. I am sure the bank will be happy to know you blew off a legitimate cash paying customer through insults and stupidity. Based on your behavior I would warn anyone interested in this boat to go the extra mile making sure there is nothing wrong with it before making an offer.

The only thing bizzare about our exchange of emails is you, and you have alot more to apologize for than offering a bottomline price, which I missed by the way. Again, what a jerk.:angry-smiley-038:

I bought the boat. Got it to NY yesterday. I had all the fluids changed, filters changed, the fuel pumped out, new fuel put in, the carb overhauled, valves adjusted, and tune up,new trailer tires for the trip to NY. The trailer towed perfect. The boat ran good 88 mph on GPS after some prop testing. I still have some chine walk and am prop testing to deal with that. I made a post "Kryptonite chine walk" . The boat has many top end parts on it, the paint is in nearly new condition as is the whole boat. It took some work to get the legal paperwork in line, and at first working the whole deal was a little stressful. But now its done there is no doubt the value is more than there. Once I get the boat dialed in I will most likely flip it. I am already getting calls to sell it. I may keep it, it is a sweet boat. And I already rigged a 2002 that runs 104 mph, so I like the hull. If i decide to keep it, it will be a winter project and my goal will be 110-115 mph.
