Big props to Tim at Myco and Mark at Lightning-Motorsports
Long story short: As I picked up the boat up from the marina the other day after a quick physical, it took me 45 minutes to get the trailer coupler to latch correctly. I don't know if they had an issue while moving the trailer, but I determined it was time for a new coupler.
I called Myco late last week, and yesterday morning I had a new coupler. Tim said it would be drilled in the right place, and all would be ready to go. I sorta questioned if it would be right for my 4+ year old trailer, but I was optimistic. Damn if it was not SPOT-ON and a perfect install in less than 5 minutes. Not only did it install perfectly, but it was an upgrade from the previous coupler that I had, much more stout. (I have E/H brakes. As such, these couplers are custom made in house by Myco.) ---------- While I was re-assessing my coupler issues, I noticed that my 15,000 lbs. Putnam drawbar was a little stressed and had started to lean down a bit over the past few years. Well, Putnam is out of business, and I could not locally source anything that would work for my setup. (I have a www.trailerguardian.com custom made for that drawbar for my setup.) Mark had the exact Putnam drawbar that I needed, sitting on the shelf. I also had that in my hands yesterday afternoon. Thanks guys! Top notch service at its best. It pays to go with the best. www.mycotrailers.com www.lightning-motorsports.com |
