BPM drives, that's what Callan used with his 3000hp turbines. I think the same pair is still on that boat.

Mercury Racing needs to step it up a notch for these big powerboats. The VISSM looks maxed out on the 41 Apache........it gets small looking quickly after that.

The Weismann 6 will handle more power and torque than the Merc. The Weismann is much closer to a true shaft drive than the Merc also. I don't know what Merc can do to a drive that has to go through two 90 degree bends to put power to the prop. Titanium gears and shafts maybe?

A physically larger drive.

The new Zuperman boat is actually a full carbon fiber 50' Mystic hull with twin turbines from Turbine Marine. The owner lives a few minutes away from me, saw it on the lake yesterday, and took a peek at it while it was on the lift near his house. The paint (TAOD) is UNREAL in person, nicest I have ever seen! The man like his boats, that's for sure. He has had quite a few Skaters with HUGE power. He has a newer 54' Sea Ray sitting next to this one, and a 160' Heesen Yacht down in Fla. Called "Man of Steel".
