Goin to St. Cloud
 

Plans are to leave early Thursday am and drive stright through. What is everyone seeing for diesel prices in the different states? Kansas is right around 1.34 missouri is some what cheaper, I filled up sat night for $1.19. Plans are to go through St. Louis and into Ill. then shot south. Hope to be in sometime Friday am. I think we are planning on picking up a boat in Pompoano Beach and then attend the races on Sat. and Sun. then head back. I'm pumped up and looking forward to the road trip.. Hope to see some board members there! I know I'll see Gordo for sure, picking him up after his shift and leavin town:cool: :D .

I presently have a 1994 Checkmate 283Convincor, we(wife and I)would like to move into the 32ft range:cool: But we have to get the checkmate repaired and sold first. I'm not racing, but speactating(sp?). Gordo is the racer of this road trip.. My first boat race and man am I pumped. This week is just gonna drag by!!!!:mad: :rolleyes:

Chris, look for us we'll be out Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday, ther are airboat races on Saturday over at Chisholm Park just ask anyone where the park is, thats where we'll be hanging out, have a safe trip down, weathers great here!!

Have springs,well kinda they are waiting on me to decide what I'm going to do. I am working with Bruce and Gordo to figure things out, Bruce thinks he has me a cam, now we need to decide what to do with the pistions!! 10:1's and efi don't get along all that well!!:eek:

Dude I'm always up for a boat ride:D ;) But seriously I really like the lines of the Thunders and have seen Gordo's in action just haven't got a ride in one yet!! I do have the wife talked into getting a 32' by the time I turn 32 so I have 4 years but if I get my way it'll be more like 4 months :D ;) I'll be hanging out with Gordo all weekend hope to meet up with you all!!

Which hotel/motel is the closest to the pits/race action? I was getting ready to call the host hotel, but wanted to check to make sure there wasn't one closer.

You and Gordo will have a Blast!! Just make sure Gordo doesn't get ahold of any "Piggy Puffs and Apple Juice" if he does you may have to get a new interior for your truck in the near future!! I would bring a Gas Mask just in case!! You notice his girlfriend isn't riding down with you guy's (she must know the power of a Fireman's GAS!!)
Have gordo take you to Lake X since your going to be so close!! I wish I would have stopped by on one of my trips to Florida!!

I learned my lesson on the piggy pops. THAT was ugly!
But, if I remember, you wasn't having any problems "passing" either. Looked like a "Cheech & Chong" movie when we stopped and opened the doors.
