:D |
Hey Guys,
Thanks for the compliments.I will post photos of the engine compartment and cockpit and better shots of the boat as soon as I get them back from the photographer in the next 2-3 days.We worked with Jim Muir of Dimension 5 fame on our new 35 Survivor. He also has worked with Cigarette for many years on their deck designs. We are offering the boat as a 5-6 man bolster configuration and in a standard cockpit of 2 man bolsters and a rear custom bench. Our plans now are to build 12-15 of these 35 Survivors a year completely custom made to owners specs at a great price. The boat will also be offered in a full 24 degree deep v and in a twin step version. This boat had a full 24 degree deep v and ran 95.3 MPH on its first run this last Friday. It is a real head turner of a boat.I will race one in F2 class later this year.Regards, JO:D |
Hey Jo - That thing looks great!! It seems like it has been a while coming, but the finished product looks to be well worth the wait.

Jo,
Congrats on the new boat. It really looks sweet. Those 95 mph speeds were with what engine/drive configuration? Again, congrats and I would love to see some more pictures. |
Hi Will,
This 35 Survivor has been finished for sometime but I was waiting on my customer to put in the water.I guess I will be racing with you in F2 class later this year.Good luck this year!! Hi Thunder Dan, I posted on Friday Info .on its power and speed on this site. This boat I built for Mike and Art Girard that ran the Sloopy Joes Superboat and they supplied me the motors built by Expert Engines in Hollywood, FLA.The motors are 588 CI. Keith Black Aluminum blocks with a single carb. The motors are 8 1/2 to 1 compression and run on pump gas.The motors made a real 650 HP with 700 ft.lbs of torque.I ran the boat in dead flat water in the bay with the owner and my sister on board and spinning 34 Pitch 4 blade props not labbed at 5300 RPM a GPS speed of 95.3 MPH.the boat has IMCO Bravo 1 drives.I know I can still squeeze a few more MPH by labbing the props and getting some chop under the boat.Regards, JO:) |
Congrats Joe and Pepe, the boat looks awesome

Hey Guys,
Glad you like it.My family and I, and our designer Jim Muir have put alot of time and effort into this project. We also have a great group of guys working with us for many years that have worked very hard to make this boat a real looker and performer.I am very excited to race one in F2 class sometime later this year.It looks as of now I will be running a new 28 F1 this year with a new sponsor that I will name soon.My goal is to have a new 35 in F2 later in the year also. Thanks, JO |

:D :D :D :D :D :D
great looking boat. I don't think anyone will argue that South Florida boats have been sharing those beautiful classic lines for alot of years. Brian |
Hey NW Jim,
We work with the same designer for the last 25 years. The deck was designed by Mr. Jim Muir at Dimension 5 and my dad and I in the last year. The hull is very similar in design. The hull is 35 feet 9 inches long. The steps are being placed in a completely different position since our center of gravity is in a different place since our engine room being much longer at 6 foot 9 inches places are gas tanks further forward.I will take that as a compliment since I firmly believe that is a great running hull. Thank You and I hope I have answered your questions. Jo- Pantera boats |
Thanks for the response. I'll bet it's a lot lighter than a Cafe. Lots of new materials on the market that weren't around in '87. Great looking boat. I'd like to see more pics, like the cabin, engine room and cockpit. Pantera's have always been solid boats.

JO,
Great looking boat! I never got to meet you a couple of years ago when I came to your factory. I was able to spend time with your father and see your factory. I didn't realize that you were offering the 35 footer in a conventional bottom. I thought it was only going to be a stepped bottom boat. At least that is the drawings that I saw and have. I'm curious, why the two different versions of the 35 footer??? P.S. I will try and talk my friend Fred(TOO OLD) into buying one of these beauties. God, I wish this was available when I came to see you. Best of luck! |
Hey Boat Nut,
Good to hear from you.Even though I did not have the opportunity to meet you in person My Dad mentioned to me that you were a pleasure to meet.Allot has happened since you were here last time.We expanded our facility to the building next door where Alcone Motorsports and Sloppy Joes race teams used to be.Much larger shop.As a matter of fact this 35 Survivor photographed belongs to Mike and Art Girard ( Sloppy Joes ). The reason for offering the 35 in both configurations is that we have a customer following for the last 28 years of customers that have 24 degree deep v 24 and 28 footers and some of them are not to crazy about steps. So I feel I will let my customers decide on what they want. My Dad and I are in the same discussion almost everyday. My Father likes the ideas of the steps to give some increase in speed in calmer conditions but I like a full 24 degree deep v set up for ruff water.Either way the boat will be a performer step or non stepped. I got great speed out of this one with no steps and handles like it is on rails. The set up in a boat is very important. I will post more photos later today of the motors and cockpit. Regards, JO:) |
Very nice!
What's the cost? AC |
Dear JO,
Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule, to respond to my questions. I appreciate it! Your father did take me next door to that other shop you are refering to. Congratulations on your expansion. Have you built a stepped bottom version yet?? Will both versions sell for the same price?? Have you done any testing on the stepped bottom model?? And if so, what kind of results did you get?? (handling, speed, hole shot, performance overall, etc.??) |
