I was 15 miles from the start when the first boats went by....nothing against Fountain, they are the fastest V-hulls and Reggie deserves some respect for what he's done...BUT that Skater was a 1/2 mile ahead at that point.

Some one should tell reggie that a poker run is not a race

Good for him. The videos are "entertaining."

Now the BIG question, did Reggie pony up the sponsorship money that he promised Mark and the RPBA to use the event for his marketing extravaganza/"competition"?

Oh yeah, the canopy boat "smoked" a lot of boats, but it didn't smoke ALL of them. Meow!
I know the AT check cleared for the past 4 years...

Since a lot of poker runs are thinly disguised unofficial races, you have to expect that someone will show with a faster boat. That is what makes it exciting...

While a few always consider it a race, not many do in this one......out of 108 boats over 1/2 waited until the second start. I watched the first pack of boats go by from 15 miles down river, the first 15 or so were WOT, the rest were somewhere below 5,000 rpms. Been involved with this run for a number of years and know over 1/2 the participants, the vast majority of them stay around 3,500 except when the heli swoops in. (last year I stayed behind the start boats and waited 5-10 minutes before even leaving.....about 10 boats did the same thing)

Reggie was fast, he just wasn't first and I wouldn't mention any of this if he didn't outright lie on that video.
