Baja....Bigger boat! Bigger cabin, bigger cockpit, true 33', more freeboard. Fountain's faster but that's about it. Better re-sale on a Fountain? I would debate that. Many years and sizes of Baja just as Fountain. Sh!t load of Fountains in the classifieds just like Bajas, both have great deals out there.

From what I have read in this forum, I would take cock pit space over speed. In many performance boats there is never enough room to move around in the cock pit but the Baja gives you that room and your not racing in a race series so speed isn't the most important thing. Baja will go fast enough for the average person, it's roomy and build quality is good. Good luck with your choice.

I would rather have the Fountain. Better build quality and a little more speed. The 33 Outlaw with 502s will run 70 - 72. Same motors in a 35 Executioner will probably be a 75 - 77 mph boat. Cabin is a little bigger on the Baja, finished out a little nicer on the Fountain. 33 Outlaw has a ton of cockpit room but the 35 Ex has a nice size cockpit too. The Fountain is much easier to work on, way more room in front of the motors. Changing water pumps is a huge pain in the azz on the Baja, 30 minute job on the Fountain. Baja will have more storage room. Weight between the two boats is probably about the same. Hope that helps a little.

Baja = conventional hull. If you don't want the quirks of stepped hulls the Baja is the better choice. Fountains are cramped, strange helm layout, and dated looking imho. If you're into every last MPH the Fountain is your choice. If you want something fast but don't give a flying f*ck if someone is a few mph faster then Baja.
