Powerboat P1 Sweden Race is UP on Americanpowerboat.tv!
This penultimate race of the Powerboat P1 World Championship set in motion a tumultuous competition in SuperSport! The start of the Sprint race shows the dangerous near-encounter with a Police safety boat which was appealled by Seagull Chaudron that awarded both the Seagull Chaudron/Spirt of the Ukraine and the Baia Antollino 3rd place points. That action spear-headed the counter appeal by the Baia Attolini team which is still pending.
In Evolution, the tension increased as the SNAV OSG and Lucas Oil Outerlimits teams, prepared to duke it out with the Cigarette Smash Poker and the Furnibo Fountain team. The Silverline Buzzi boat, continued to lead in points due to its reliability, despite its lagging speedss, was causing contention in the pits and on the race course. The Furnibo Fountain showed its speed and the Outerlimits teams battled each other as well as the rest of the field. The chase for the Fountain’s lead in the Endurance race led to a frightening accident as the Lucas Oil team spun out and barrel-rolled halfway through the race. The dramatic rescue from the rapidly sinking boat demonstrates the danger of this exciting sport!

The Powerboat P1 season conclusion takes place in Sicily, Sept. 11-13 as 3rd place Cigarette Smash Poker fights for the podium against the 2nd place SNAV OSG. Will the Silverline Buzzi boat continue to earn its points while coming in at the back of the pack? Will the Lucas Oil Outerlimits team make a come-back in its first P1 hull? Stay tuned!
