Take lots of pics with the date and of your plates on the trailer. Documentation is always the key, I know you dont want to move the trailer with the boat on it, but you may have to. Photos of the boat before hand should cover you.....lots of pics.......

Monday's the day! I will update you guys on Monday! Also I spoke with the Sheriff and he said if he doesn't get the boat off the trailer in a couple days, "he will charge him with grand larceny"!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Take pics as said before.
Make sure you get the vin off the hull of the boat and make sure you can trace to new owner at some later date if that happens.
I don't know about Maryland, but up here we have ownerships for our trailers and of course plates and the cops are anal about showing the plates! If they are bent or in the bottom of the loading ramp (it happened to me) they pull you over and investigate for sure! Trailer plates must be visible at all time here and I'm sure you would have documentation on yours???
