Well I have the same boat and You'rs is one of the best looking older Novas that I have seen.
I want to build an engine hatch/sunpad and rear bench seat like the way Yours is set up.
I have lots of Ideas for Mine, but need to know how some things are repaired. For instance all the sealant in the wind shield is shot and I do not know what to use to replace it with? I would actually like th change the wind shield to a lower profile plexiglass style.
I removed the rally high bow rails and it really improved the looks of the boat.
Mine is a '73 and has the round fiberglass engine cover/seat combo deal that is a pain in the ass to get to the engines with it in place. Not to mention that it is heavy as hell to move. I really want to do the engine hatch bench seat. Did You'rs come with the sun pad and bench seat? I have the twin Merc 888/ 302 ford combo. My registration lists it as a 24'-8",does that make it a 24' or 25' also the registration lists it as a Nova Marine, but the dash has a wellcraft emblem on it. I tried tracing the numbers on the tag but it comes up with no info.
Any way I would be intrested in seeing more. thank's.....Hal

whats the first 3 letters of the vin?? you may have a Brownie boat. Brownie (a member here) first designed and built it along with a 19 footer. he sold the 25 to wellcraft. I looked at the piks and you have stringers under the motors as opposed to the wellcraft drop in tub. for the sun pad, my boat has a new backseat and seat base made which has a piece of 3/4 marine ply running to the transom to support it. I will try and get you some piks of how its setup this weekend.

personally, if thats a real nova marine as opposed to wellcraft, I would restore it as opposed to chnging things.

The title and registration say, Manufacturer,Nova and the hull id number (HIN) is N325165, length 24'-8". It seems like there are a couple of letters or numbers missing from the HIN. It is registered as a 1973.
I will have to try and look on the alum stamped tag on the dash, to see if I can find any more letters. The tag is all faded except for the HIN# that is stamped.

I agree. I did look at the tag and that is all the letters and numbers there are.
I thought that all the Nova Marine 25' Novas had the v-drive type drives? When doing a HIN search on those numbers it comes up with no info found.

Is there any way to tell a Brownie Nova from a wellcraft Nova?
