Price seems a little high for a boat that is going to need top end motor work not too far down the road. And that boat has been ridden hard many days.

make an offer.. you never know what the real number might be.. especially since a new Ilmor/Indy package is going to start under construction.

I would want NEW engines and DRIVES at that price.

MY 2¢

If you haven't seen it, it is incrediable. Very nicely done and a high level of detail. Engine room is all color matched and is factory maintained.

As Dean said this boat is in immaculate condition and has been maintained at the factory by Wayne himself. Sunsation is offering a complete Bow to Stern 1 year warranty that will cover the complete drive line package.

Any questions regarding the maintenance please don't hesitate to call the factory and talk to Wayne himself.

The boat is also listed here http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o30367-en.html

Good luck with the sale, Chris. Bow to Stern 1 year warranty is a nice touch. The 2007 Shootout still stands as one of my favorites having this boat and "First Born" side by side at Shooter's.

Since Merc Racing doesn't publish a maint schedule for the internals on a 700 we called and asked what they recomended. We were told by Merc Racing we should be able to go 500 hours without a worry.

Then why don't they put a longer warranty on them:eek:
Dustin Whipple recomends going thru the blowers every 200-250 hours.

Good question. They probably should. I'm just repeating what I was told.

You would still need to go through a dealer for the paperwork and deal on a new Sunsation. Since this is a factory boat, dealers as myself work with Sunsation to help sell the factory demo boats they list.

TampaBeach 09-02-2009 12:59 PM

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't most Factory Demo boats normally go to a dealer at a nice discounted price, then the dealers normally sell them or keep them for a year?? So of all the Sunsation Dealers out there no Dealer wants this boat??????? :party-smiley-004:

29KILROY 09-02-2009 01:05 PM

One KILLER ride!!!!!! I am in awwww every year @ Seneca Lake when I see this Boatt! You have to see it to appreciate it!!!!! Price one new, the asking price is very fair.

A. In this economy I suspect for a dealer to get a 390K used boat added to their floorplan is going to be pricey if they can get it done.

B. Any dealer can get in on this deal, take a trade and make a buck or two in the process by handling the sale/arranging financing

C. Winter months are coming, don't think too many dealers would want to increase inventory this time of year.
