Thats 129, and 132, and the best part about it is the a$$ end of the boat didn't want to swap ends at that speedlike a single surface drive does, and 132 feels the same as 90...you can sit back and relax, it gets boring... trust me slip doesn't bother me @ all and it was a labbed prop...the boat comes out to around 16-18% slip, and it loves it...by the way do your math with any other cat 26' long that ways 5,000lbs with the same setup and it would be much slower
Your boat runs fast, (like it should with that power) almost as fast at that larger V hull that your engine builder had.
I've got customers with single engine Talon's and a lot less hp than yours going mid 120's and no swapping ends.

26Redline,
I have wondered about the prop issue on the RPM cats. They seem to get cavitation burns on the middle of the blades which eventually causes blade/prop failure.. ie they throw a blade.
I thought this might be just on Steves boat/outdrive combination, but sounds like it is a boat issue.
Your thoughts?
Chris

Well, if you could absorb the power instead of letting it slip, you would be faster. Can't argue with that, well maybe you can.

Well lets see...my engine builder's engine was a 572, he had it turning 7400pluss RPM's, and was running 110 octain gas. I am turning 6000-6400rpm's on 93 octain with a 540, and FYI the engine that is in my boat was in Gary's boat for 33hrs, with the 200AX Whipple on it and the boat would only run 102mph, straight from his boat to mine I ran 118-120 with a 34 labbed prop until the supercharged was changed to the 305AX 5.0L Blower

The prop issue on Steves boat is from the bullet design on the lower, I have not had any problem from the MMW drive doing that to any props, what I am saying about the labbed props, is that with the torque that I am putting through the leading edge of the props start to break after just a few test hrs, I took a custom 34 that Steve had Hering do in Jacksonville, I brought it home from Jacksonville ran it on 2 outings approx. 6 hrs, sent it back to Steve, and ran his boat 1 time and the blades started breaking (sorry again Steve)

So you are saying the V hull went faster than your?

Have you ever tried the P5-x's ?
My boat likes them better than the Herings or Labbed Bravo's.
I have the P5-x's labbed by Hering (right up the street from me)
