I saw it in person. Take a look at the pics of the damage that happens when the RC cat boat T-bones a 47 fountain. (no there was no damage to the Fountain)

I heard it sank the Fountain:evilb::evilb:

I have to say the Fountain owner was very understanding. The father of the kid running the RC boat was no quite as understanding.

Sounded like hitting the side of the boat with a ball peen hammer. It was not a glancing shot it was a direct hit.

bobkatz 09-01-2009 01:44 PM

I was amazed at how well the Catkiller fountain "owner" took the hit:eek:, as for the owner of the RC boat, he is upset that another cat was taken down by a Fountain!

Thank GOD they had on life vests and were wearing their lanyards or it could have been alot worse.:evilb:

Right now we are negotiating with ProBoat the MFG about the delamanation and total loss of control of the rc boat resulting in it's DESTRUCTION!

Strip Poker, that ran thru my head after seeing and hearing it hit!

I was waiting for the Fountain to start pumping water out the bilge, there was a lot of fiberglass splinters and styrofoam in the water and I wasn't sure which boat it came from!

tssteph 09-01-2009 01:48 PM

At least you can not blame it on the steps. It was going dead straight.

tssteph 09-01-2009 01:49 PM

At least the battery did not fall out and drop in the water.... again.

bobkatz 09-01-2009 02:58 PM

The battery was the last thing on my mind the Fountain broke their fall!

Would of been bad if it hurt it,just think if it was one of these 70k paint jobs,Probably looked like a torpedo,I'm glad the cat drivers had there safety gear on:drink:

bobkatz 09-01-2009 08:45 PM

Luckly the Fountain was all white with no graphics, but it almost had some graphics put on it!:drink:

it just goes to show how well built those Fountains are . I think I should get me a couple of them . I had a guy t bone my baja one time and poked a hole in the side and he said [sorry ,I boped your boat ] that was it . this guy here got off lucky , no damage .
