CMI Tailpipe Questions??
I need to get a set of s-pipes for my CMI headers. Do you have to use CMI's tailpipes, (is there something special about them or not)or can I take my boat to IMCO which is close to me and have them fabricate a set of stainless steal tailpipes for me.

I just had a set of "S" tailpipes made by CMI. I would say that Imco could make them for you. Just take them the boat so they can come out right. If you were not so close & had to get them made from long distance I would go with CMI. I had made some mockups, took pictures of mockups, & when I got tails they did not fit. Workmanshop was excellent. but just would not work. After phone calls going over problems with them they made me new pair. New pair worked. This was last week. Jeff called me today to make sure I was happy. How many companies call you to make sure you are happy? I do not think I could have gotten anything made around here that looked as good as they do.

I would go with CMI too, but IMCO is 30 min away, and they do good work too so if anybody as any objections to IMCO, I shall be giving them a call, Turbo, how much did CMI charge you, and where the pipes polished or satin, Thanks
