3 blade vs. 4 blade hitch covers.

The truck is a 99 F250 PSD. I was thinking the 4 blade may give me better traction and top speed is limited to 95mph either way. Im just worried Ill get too much front end lift. :p

I have a 3 blade that stopped spinning. I sent it out to get labbed, but I'm afraid someone might cut their leg on it in a parking lot. As for front end lift, I seem to find that I get more when it's not on the hitch. The only other explanation is the 9,000# of boat and trailer that replaces it that just might be causing the lift. Naaahhh, can't be that...

Actually, if you're getting too much lift, you might want to add a hydrofoil to the bumper.

Which way do you spin them on a dual hitch application???

GO4BROKE 04-06-2002 04:21 PM

M dually tends to cavitate with a 3 blade, I recommend the 4 blade.:p

Mine hit a submerged object in my tool box, I need to send it to Bronson Hill and have it repaired:mad: , Take out a little cup for less front end lift;)

My three blade causes a slight push to the right, maybe I need a dual counter rotating model.:D

What is the x-dimension on the hitch? Can't properly answer without all the pertinent facts! :D

I was having a tremendous amount of porposing with the stock 4 blade on my 2DR Tahoe. While doing a tad-bit of off-roading; I inadvertantly damaged one of the blades. I then proceeded to lab it by modifying the other three blades to match the damaged blade. Surprisingly this cleared up the porposing problem. Unfortunately, at another time while changing "prop shafts." I left the custom labbed 4 blade on the bumper of the Tahoe, and drove off. I guess I need to start over.
