I am looking for a nice GPS for Canada I am new to this and will mostly be in the Great Lakes

Garmin is good for anywhere you may go. Definetly get their blue chart for what ever area you will be in.

Prices from 300 on up to several thousand

What exactly is the blue chart? I don't know alot about GPS thanks

you buy the gps and the charts come on memory cards for various regions.
this one has nmea input
