who overnights in their boats?
I mentioned in an earlier post that we had spent 10 days in the 1000 Islands last summer on our boat, stayed 3 nights in hotels, have made the boat so the entire cabin in our 29 Fountain converts into one giant bed, got oohs and awws from the gallery, just wondering who else overnights on their boats.......Doug

I almost bought a 31 sonic, we dont see many up here, it was a 90 with twinn small blocks, black and yellow in colour!! I would have sprung for a paint job and a topside interior but I felt the boat needed twinn big blocks and I wasnt willing to do that much work on the boat, The good thing about it was it looked just like the new ones... tons of room in that cabin, seperate head and that centre pull out birth is the best, if that boat had of had big blocks in it Id be posting on the Sonic section......Doug

We overnight all the time. I think half the fun of boating is staying in the marinas, meeting people and socializing. We had a core group of six couples that went every weekend and it was some of the best times of my life. We all have since gotten married, had kids etc. but some of still go with the kids etc. and the others are looking to get back into boating. Again, I think overnighting is half the fun.

We overnight quite a bit, we even did several weekend trips in our 25 AT. Man was that a tight fit. lol We plan on doing more overnight trips once our new 37 is done. Part of the reason I went with the AT was the cabin and the ammenities AT had. Crank up the AC, put a few movies in for the two kids and we be stylin.

Barb and I have a 1980 Searay 310 that we keep in a slip at Great Lakes Marina in Muskegon MI, which is about 50 minutes north of our home in Holland, MI. We spend every weekend on the boat and vacation aboard it for 2 to 3 weeks every summer.
