Question CIG's Fantastic 1: Not So Fantastic ???

Sept 13th, 2009 P1 News:

Cigarette'’s Evolution entry, The Fantastic 1, have today been penalised 290 points in the Powerboat P1 World Championship standings following a breach of the Series’ power to weight ratio rulings.

Following yesterday’s opening round of the Sicilian Grand Prix of the Sea, an irregularity was found during the post race weigh-in of the #10 Cigarette Smash Poker boat, which found the craft to be underweight. The boat was then weighed a second time for verification purposes and having registered an increase, a further inspection was conducted which revealed that inappropriate and unacceptable methods had been used by the team to alter the weight.
