I believe there is a escape hatch on the floor of this boat..no need to swim down to exit....swim up ....?!?!?!

Have you ever put on a PFD and tried to swim down to the bottom of a pool??? Try it sometime…

What happens when you swin or end up under the dash and get pinned? Bottom line, you NEVER should be wearing a PFD that has floatation in it in a canopy boat... period...

Well in this boat (Powerboat Mag had an insert in their mag..full pictures) no under dash to get pinned in. Must be a reason for the jacket....additionally isn't this a water-tight canopy for the most part? wouldn't the air floatation device have the same problems in a wet canopy environment? Don't they automatically inflate if they get wet?
Aqua - why do you wear a life jacket????

First of all, no canopy is ever "water-tight" in an accident.

Secondly, no. AirVest that are used in racing or canopy boats should NEVER EVER have a auto-inflator.

Byt the way, there is nothing you can tell me about this setup to convince me that they should be wearing those PFD vest...

Thanks, Ben
