The Canni family was orig from Massapequa, they owned Scarab's in the past, Superboats, very experianced. I think because of the surface drives they got much closer to the marsh land. Not sure if the Diesel were both RH or L& RH rotation. but if both RH the drives may have spun it to one side when hitting land if the motors were still running at WOT on land. below is the Ch 11 link with video.

Your reaching at best for something not related. Run aground in that area under the same conditions and write a report. Else all speculative and tastelessly so.

This is a terrible tragedy.
Growing up on the southshore, i know what its like to boat in those waters.

No offense to anyone, but there is no reason to be pushing 40ft offshore HP boats in these back waters. Its not what they were designed to do, nor is it a great idea.
