Who's a good Bravo I Mechanic in Gulfcoast Area??
The last time I had my boat out, I hit something that was submerged. Everything seemed ok on the way back in, but after I got it back on the trailer, I discovered the damage...
First thing I noticed, a nice hunk of the skeg, about the size of a nickle, is missing in the front part. My Hydromotive P5X Prop is...well it's "boogered up" pretty good. Other than that, I didn't notice anything else. Like I said, it drove back to the dock ok, but I know that really don't mean much...
I contacted my insurance company, & they said there won't be a problem with a repair, but they would like me to have a shop tear it down & inspect it for internal damage. I certainly don't have a problem with that, especially with the season winding down, but I just don't know who to take it to. Around here, it's mostly fishing boats, & I really don't think they would be familiar with a Bravo. I live in the Gulfport, MS area, Destin is about 2 hours to the East, & New Orleans is about 1 hour to the West.
Anybody have any recommendations?

How much is your deductible?????? IMO, if its $1000 or more, its not really worth it to start a claim. Chances are the drive is ok, if its not making any noises. You could just drain the lube and look for any chunks of metal. The skeg is a $100 weld job and the prop will probably be about $500 to have repaired at BBlades.
