Ron and I are planning to leave on Thu. at 3am from Newport. Put us into Barstow just before 5. Spend 20 minutes there for a pit stop and then another 3 1/2 to 4 hours to Havasu. Should be on the launch ramp by no later than 9:30.

If you want to caravan plan to be in Barstow (Outlet Center Drive exit - parking lot behind the "In and Out Burger") by no later than 5am.
