Where are all the Hydra Tech's?

Anyone else out there running some of these boats? I seem to be the only one. How many where made? I'd like to see some pics.

Sharkey might have some details. He stays in contact quite a bit with the guy who owns Hydratech.

Kurt is a friend of mine, that's where I got mine. I've been in touch with Hydra several times. I think Sharky is the one who gave me their number when I bought mine. I was hoping to get in touch with some other guys still running them. I can't be the only one, can I?

Maybe when I have time I will have to dig up some of the old photos I shot back in the day and upload them to my Gallery for Hydra. I only have some of the most recent projects which have been Vee's The other newer Cats are being held under a tight lid since tha last visit I made. They had to relocate once again and unfortunately lost track of them. I am sure one day I'll get a call from the owner when he needs a hand on a special project.

Here is what I have online now:

Konrete Kat is no longer with us... :(

That cat went through all its 9 lives and finally burned to the water line. Key West I believe is where she was last raced...

Thanks Sharkey, I would love to see some of the pics you have. I tried that link but it didn't work. Do you have Hydra's new address? I know they moved to New Egypt? Did they move again after that? My windshield was redone and I don't really like it. I wanted to see what the original looked like. I had spoke with them when they wher moving last year about getting them to do it.

SHARKEY-IMAGES 10-16-2009 04:36 PM

No I do not. New Egypt is the last I heard too.

Link seems to work fine for me. What Browser are you using?

fireboatpilot 10-16-2009 06:02 PM

Thanks again Sharkey. I got the link to work. All "V"'s. None of their cats huh? I have a 32' cat thats what I want to see. If you find any, let me know. Bill

Konkrete cat was originally owned and raced by Bud Tresch, owner of Woodbury Cement, in Woodbury, NJ

I do not personally know Mr. Tresch, my father did. He is a local guy, maybe he can give you insight on Hydratech cats.

My father and I raced (four or five mile drag race from a 60 mph start) a 30' Hyrdatech with twin 2.4 Mercury outboards through Longport Inlet (NJ) in the early 1990's, and smoked it pretty good in a 84 mph 27' Magnum. I was impressed that the Hydratech did not do too bad in the sloppy water going through the inlet to the Ocean.
