Just wondering how many of ya'll tow with duallies? I'm still searching for a newer truck !! It seems that its hard to see around those damn wide rear fenders! Don't get me wrong, I think they are cool looking, but it seems that you loose sight of the trailer (wheels, tires, fenders etc) compared to a truck w/out
dual rear wheels. I'm used to towing with a F-250 with 33x12.5x16.5 wheels and tires, so I never really experienced stability problems like someone with smaller factory tires.

I have a 99 F-350 and drive it every day. I would buy one again. I go through the bank and fast food drive thru all the time.

I traded in my 2000 Ford F350 Dually CC 4x4 (V10) for an Excursion Limited PSD- never had anything in the bed anyway...
I have to agree with Too Old - I like to be able to see the trailer wheels, and the gas mileage with the dually was less than my 99 F250 with the V10 (both bad).
Like the looks of the dually, but the X is an incredible all-purpose vehicle!
I think if I needed a pickup again, it would be the F350 PSD SRW

Have had no problems towing...i did back one of them fenders into a pole though. Three years and 40,000 miles i guess thats not to bad. Its tough backing up in tight places, but there is not alot of visability around a 35 foot boat either. I have a 96 3500 crew cab chevy dually with the diesel and love it it tows well, and handles well and i go through all the drive thru`s as well ... well... i think that covers it.

Well, we just traded in this 2001 GMC 3500 Xcab 4x4 with the 8100/Allision combo! I've become a sucker for this powertrain combo (despite me being a Ford man!)...so I'm considering buying it...............I just don't want to be stuck with it if not being able to see the trailer (like I've been used to) will drive me nuts???

I hav'nt towed with my new truck yet but the side mirrors on my 2000 F-350 dually extend out. Does that help with being able to see trailer tires?

I will admit it is harder to backup an empty trailer with my 99 chevy 4wd 3500 Dually Crewcab than my single rear wheel 4wd.
But once I got used to it I like to tow with the Dually.

I tow with a Dodge 3500 and the short mirrors. It can be tough but I just lower the tailgate and have no trouble. But then again try backing a 53 foot trailer with a Kenworth around some blind side corners in Los Angeles

I haven't towed much weight as far as boats are concerned, but have trailered some rather heavy loads and I really like the stability the duals give.

I also haven't gotten to the stage where I have to go through a car wash.

Well hear is a little story about a man named audio who had a budy that bought a bout out at LOTO. I just took my dually out to LOTO from the Boston area to pick up Biggus's Top gun and I have to say I am VERY happy with it. We had NO problem seeing the rear wheels with the double mirrors that they give you. Also we averaged at least 11.5 miles per gallon towing. I know this is MUCH higher then most get!!! That is fantastic considering the 13000 pound plus load and the hills that we had to go through. The trailering was brainless as the truck had NO bad tendencies to sway or track. As far as parking in small places ya you are bumming when it comes to that. So you park far away. Not the worse thing however as you do not have dings in your car when you get out!!!
