Default They are pricey from MERC what ain't

I was determined not to pay their price
I found one in a McMaster- Carr book
404-346-7000
This was several year ago
Merc's price was around 75 if I recall (complete)
I bought the bottle for under 5 bucks

Did have to machine a part to work though

Just buy the new style and be done with it or go the route I did
The machine work was adapting at the bottom of the jug.

Default HERE WE GO

Wide mouth polycarbonate bottles

Rigid and virtually unbreakable, these transparent bottles are also chemical and moisture resistant. The have threaded, black polypropylene cap with Buna-N seal to help prevent leakage.

Like I say they have nothing in the bottom in them. I made a fitting and put an o-ring seal in the fitting.
Order one and see what you think only 10 bucks.

---capacity------cap size--dia.---height---part #----$$$

1 oz 30 ml----48.4 mm--2"----2 1/16"-3999t1--$4.41
2.5oz 75 ml---- " --" ----3 1/16---3999t2-- 4.53
5------------------------------2 7/8-3----------------t3--4.85
9------------------------------""""""4 1/4-----------t4---5.26
16----------------------------3 5/8-5 1/4-----------t5---9.03
32----------------------------"""""-8 5/8------------t6---9.76
.5 gal------------------------5"----9 3/8------------t7--11.25

32 oz is probably the one you need, 3999t6 @ $9.76 ht is 8 5/8".
McMaster-Carr catalog # 108 pg 1531 upper right hand corner of the page.
I'll take my 25% comission

Someone just told me yesterday that you can't get the nice ROUND resivoir bottles by Merc anymore---they only have the smaller square bottles available now. I HATE those little cheap looking square bottles. The guy who was telling me this had seveloped a crack in the base of the round bottle he had and said he could NOT find a round bottle to replace it with. He said Merc doesn't make them anymore. So Mike, you're saying you can get them eh?

Mikes correct, while not the original you can get a similar round bottle from http://www.mcmaster.com If you go to their website and type in the part number that Mike gave you in their search column you'll be able to see the selection they have.

Default like I said you will..

have to modify the bottom of the jug to make McMaster's work.

Not a hard job IF you can machine on your own. If not switch over to the new style.

If your wallets are deep (mine are not ) go for the Looking Glass by Imco. Page 32 of Aug. PB Mag. Only $242.50 ea X 3 =

Man, this sucks. My boats not that old ether. Leave it to merc to make you spend more than you need to. It sounds like the round bottle had a problem holding up. I guess it was easier for merc to completly replace the system than fix the existing bottles.

Mike, so you're saying you simply took the McMaster bottle, drilled a hole in it, put a fitting in it, and attached the hose from the drive???? It's plastic, why would "machining" be necessary??
