Consoles and front seat bases in position, holes cut for instruments and the holes for the throttles on both sides were cut out after this photo was taken, rear seat bases, fuel tanks and rear seat bases all ready for fitting now and more stuff arriving this week. Plug for the "Bustle" which extends the rear of the boat over the drives is finished and the mould has been started for that as well.

Hi guys - sorry for the lack of updates - been very busy doing 14 hour days to get this thing on the water!

Some photos to bring us up to date:

Engine bay ready for the motors and the shelf is for the water strainers -

Two 250 litre fuel tanks - at least three hours range at WOT -

Brand new and shiny Yanmar BY260's 54 litres per hour each at WOT -

The Arnesons - the extension for the transom is still being made - that will be done soon!

Throttlemans position - electronics are on the way this week!

Plenty of room in the cockpit

Drivers seat with pony bottle built in -

That's the sound of a real offshore race boat!

I wish you guys all the best, that is great boat - when my lottery numbers come in you can build me one with Cummin's power!

Some good news! We got the boat launched on Friday and although we had a small problem with one of the drives we were happy with the results we have. The boat sits high in the water despite two diesels in the back, it's stable and easy to manoeuvre with the Arnesons.

We did get it onto the plane before the problem but not flat out, so we still don't know the top speed or whether they are the right props for now.

Room inside the cockpit and visibility are both better than we had thought with no problems getting out of Salcombe at half term although to be fair it wasn't in the middle of the day!

Some photos taken by Tim Tapping who not only took photos but helped with some rigging of the boat and trailer on Friday - thanks Tim!

Note the OSO Key West T shirt!
