We will be running Yanmar 260's for sure in this boat - they are the 3 litre BMW block and as well as being reliable they are also economical. We will be using single speed 1:1 gearboxes and expect speeds of well over 70mph with these motors. For people with a larger fuel budget we ar eexpecting speeds of over 105mph with 525's. The drives we are using are the ASD 6's with chain drop boxes.
Here are some tests of a model with the same running surface of the boat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xrIylMbcrs and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7UhiqA_9r8
The boat will be built in our factory in Devon England and we hope to take part in the World Endurance Championships in Cowes England next August, the boat is being designed and built with the next Round Britain race in mind which will be in 2012 just before the London Olympics and start and finish on the Thames.
We will have suspension seating, and the leisure version will have open and removable roof options, but retain the windscreen, the cabin will have a V berth as well as small galley and a chemical heads somewhere.
