Damn. I knew that I should have planned to take the boat this year. After reading this post I actually got on the phone yesterday and called all of the transporters that I have used before, but none are available. I thought about driving instead of flying, but I wanted to check on dockage before making any plans. I called the FPC office, but it is closed for the boat show. I called the Galleon directly and the guy on the phone said that they were "sorta closed" for Fantasy Fest and that he didn't know what was available and could not check until Monday.
So, I went ahead and winterized the boat, shrink wrapped it and tucked it away for the winter. We are flying out this Tuesday for Key West and will be there through the 17th. We did sign up for the parties with the FPC, so we'll see you all down there!! |
A bunch of us from Texas will be there. Fly in on Thursday morning.

What's the cost for the Copeland party? Made flight plans but thats about it so far.
Anyone got recommendations on rooms? i don't need the hyatt or anything, just something cheap to get some shuteye once in awhile. Gary add another one from the LSC group!!! :drink: |

And you being a Phantom owner, I think that makes all the LSC and maybe all of Michigan's Phantom Owners will be in Key West. Maybe we can get Will to supply us a few shirt to wear. LOL If you see me stop me I will either be wearing Phantom or Sunsation shirts. I am bring my wife so she will be keeping me on the straight and now path.

The weekly bull riding competition at Wild Bills was packed tonight. It's late and I am ready for bed, but I feel somewhat obligated to share at least a few pictures with you guys tonight (censored for this section). More pictures to follow tomorrow.

Gary Ian and I will be there, but I am starting to think we don't qualify as Lake St. Clair boaters any What ever happened with Patty and Rick's boat, did they have it in this past season, are they coming with you.

I did not see Ric and Patty this summer. I believe their boat was back in the water but I was out this season. I used the jet boat but weather did not get us as many chances as I had hoped. Hope to see you guys in Key West |

We hit up Alonzo's for 1/2 price happy hour, took a swim in the pool and now we are getting ready to go out for the night. Anyone stay (or staying) at sheraton suites? It was the cheapest I could find anywhere - $186 a night (3 @249 / fourth free). A little concerned, last time I grabbed a "bargain" room it was on the "wrong" side of Key West. :grinser010: May hit holiday isle on the way down thursday instead of staying in miami. Is the Tiki bar still goin strong? been 5 years since I was there. |
