There used to be a dealer in the midwest, I want to say the first name of the guy was Dave.

Anyway, they were (for years) the absolute best price on new trucks. I remember several people from the diesel forums flying out and driving back.

For the extra $1,200 bucks, get a SRW 1 ton. That was what I intended on getting, ended up with training wheels on the back.

The 3500 (SRW) will give you another 900 lbs carrying weight on a manual truck.

I will be driving the truck every day , do not what the ride of a 1 ton. I have 97 2500 quad cab and the ride is fine , so thats why i want to stay with the 3/4 ton. Plus , I will would get stopped on the parkways around here driving the 1 ton.

You missed my point. SRW means SINGLE rear wheel.

In other words, the make a one ton truck without the duals. You pick up a little extra capacity, and I assure you, you wouldn't be able to feel the difference in ride.

I drive an 06 2500 daily and I would not want a stiffer ride every day. Loaded the 3500 would be equal in ride however empty, I just could not imagine a stiffer ride. I have heard its not much, however any stiffer would be a bad think IMO

Yes, I know what you meant. I have seen the 3500 srw . and I dont think dmv would ever let me reg. passenger plates with the 3500. I don't want it registered commercial . Thx. Tom
