Key West races and...
the contribution made by the poker run participants!
I wonder what it would be like going to a powerboat race in Key West without all the thousands of people there, because of the poker run enthusiasts!
Not enough is said about how all of you who are there as spectators contribute to the actual success and viability of the event!
Has everyone seen the list of participants posted of the Florida Powerboat Club's Poker Run event?
Incredible!
Bravo to all of you who bring verifiable viability to our sport and hobby!
Thank You!
Coach

Very nice and thank you, Coach. This is my 19th consecutive year to visit Key West during race week. Each year it seems the contingent grows and we have a lot of fun and keep coming back for more.
Thanks to the show the racers put on. I think we are good for each other.

The poker run turnout in KW is pretty amazing. Some serious hardware and a whole lot of eye candy. Great job guys.
Just be aware that Coach started this thread with an adjenda. He has a vendetta against JC of SBI and is now on a suicide mission to bash SBI.

It doesn't change the fact that 'viability' needs to be a paramount theme for offshore powerboat racing in 2010 and beyond. Another year of the status quo will sink it, (my opinion) unless a change happens soon!
My agenda is to see a healthy and successful next step in offshore powerboat racing...
