Hustler's add against Cigarette and STATEMENT!!
 

Has anyone seen Hustler's add against Cigarette? That add I can understand, due to the history and old school design. Their newest add is against STATEMENT which basically states a Hustler has never been passed by a Fountain, Nor-tech, Cigarette or Outerlimits! Are these guys trying to show how technology superior a STATEMENT is? Thats what I get out of this add. STATEMENT is in a league of their own! :drink:

Does Hustler have a 41-42' boat that runs 135 on 1075s? Statement does.

This is no knock on Hustler, Joe builds awesome boats. It's just that Statement has taken V bottom construction to a whole new level.

My 50 Hustler runs 150 with triple 500's, when being towed by my 50 skater. lol. Nice riding boat though.

And gets swamped by the roster tail in a 1/4 mile.

Cat, they do have a 39 with 700's that runs north of 114. I'd like to see 1075's put in this boat.

I took the add at making a statement toward smoking Cigarettes (the brand/Boat) as in beating them on weekend poker runs etc... not calling out the Boat brand Statement....

I dont have a dog in this fight with any of these manufacturers but I have seen the Statement at every show and I love it.

Have they actually sold any of the V bottoms yet? (I would like to see other paint schemes on that hull)

Also, again I love Statement but doesnt a Fountain 42 PR go 140-145 with 1075's?

They have a great marketing campaign and an awesome product. Just had these questions in my mind at the Ft Lauderdale show.

I think theres lots of OLs that have gone by a hustler:coolcowboy: maybe he ment ol as in baja outlaw, the new rocket looks hot but if I had the funds it would be a OL WITH Dean Gellner power his hp is just as reliable as diesels . so I GUESS the new SABER 28 with GELLNER power will have to do. those guys need to bring that boat back there all glassed together hull and deck and all balsa cord all around thought I was inside Gerrys 46 skater when looking at the inside of the saber hull. art.

I think we see who is filling the REGGIE shoes:party-smiley-004: Hustler and Statement, may the biggest promoter win. So has anyone on OSO purchased a Statement?? Have they sold any boats?? Maybe they both should race their models to get some real bragging rights????:eek:

I'm trying to make it to Key West. I have an illness in the family I'm trying to help with, so I'm trying to feel out how long, if at all, I can be away. We've already had to drop the plans to take the boat down, so if I make it, I'll probably bring the helicopter so we don't have a boat there, should I have to leave quickly. We'll see how it plays out, and I'll be in touch!

That about sums it up..........

All vee bottoms run about the same at a given length and weight...........

In the end it's all about length for spanning and handling, and wgt/hp, props and drive height for speed.....

Get a life.
