With all due respect if everybody on this site minded their own business....there wouldn't be any posts.

Also, if you go out and purchase a super bling hull with mega power....... you ain't doing it to float in your bath tub. You do it for the prestige, wow factor, and image. That having been said, you can't and shouldn't have it both ways.... People are paying attention to and questioning the speed, price, paint job, plans etc of these boats at your desire, so why can't they pay attention to the fact that they are for sale....? Seems like a double standard...eh?

On the other hand if you are trying to be close to one or both of these guys....and trying to earn brownie points at the same time....I suppose trying to be a gate keeper of what can or cannot be discussed about them might help......or not.

Plus the fact that the Tencara is no where near the boat the Mystic C5000 is. The Tencara was not designed to go the speeds that Mystic is designed for. Don't believe me, ask some of the pros, the teams that are running Mystic C5000's now, and see what they have to say about the Mystic.

I was lucky enought to get to personally watch the development of the C5000 over the years, all the CAD design, the FEA, and the testing, and there was NO "Knocking off" of the Tencara involved.
I'm not sure how many boats Cosker has designed now, but it's alot, he doesn't need to copy someone's else's work.

Once again, talk to the pros and see what they have to say!

No need to get in a debate, but there's reasons for both of your questions. My Way runs just a tick under 200mph which is incredible with the power. He's going up on power and to another boat to go 200+. IMO, if he just went with the more power in his OL, he would easily accomplish this. But this is only my opinion.

Zupermans is an entirely different topic, but there is no reason his shouldn't do just the same as My Way since they have identical power and hulls.

But, it still is a insane, over the top in every way, rig.
The 50 OL hull and deck only weighs 4600lb!! What the "riggers" add to that with motors, exhaust, etc. is vital to performance. And this is something OL prides themselves on, proper weight balance, distribution, CG and being light weight. If this is not maintained, it won't work as designed. And for all, OUTERLIMITS didn't rig either of these 2 boats!!!!

I'm not sure what My Way and Zuperman have to do with whether the Mystic is very similar to the Tencara Callan started with?

If you speak to the designer of the Tencara, Victory, Qatar, OL, etc. he can point out all the "similar" traits. This is not to say they didn't make changes/improvements/etc. I think they built an incredible boat thats shown its very fast with these huge power plants.

In regard to large turbines for sale...I notice Aqua Doll & Canada Thrust are missing from the OSO classifieds. Did they sell?

That's the thing, EVERYTHING else made it tip the scales. Sorry, I don't want to throw out numbers but I have no idea how that trailer with only six tires holds that thing up....

I personally like the look of the OL's, it just makes people wonder when they all are up for sale so quick. Especially GOLDDIGGER....

Dustin, I think yours is the only one that has really performed. Someday you should come on over to the dark side, and be part of the nation...

Congrats!

They have all performed well!! Have any of you ever thought thats it's not the boat builder but the rigger's or the unreliable power customers have chosen to rig them with ie. Golddigger!!! The cats run very well. Golddigger ran great with Merc power and so does Johnny O's brand new boat that won best cat in Key West!! The Yellow boat ran very fast for the power as Dustin knows! Bob Russel still owns his and is still tinkering with those monster motors! The Outerlimits boats are pure pleasure boats that seat six and have alot of options. MyWay has run faster in the OL than in his previous Skater. Mystic hasnt built a pleasure boat yet. They have all been 2 or 4 passenger full blown race boats. Maybe some of you should get your facts straight before bashing in the Outerlimits cats!!!

I know roughly how much it weighs and I know the CG is significantly off. OL DID NOT RIG EITHER BOAT nor add the weight, nor got a chance to even help the customer get the CG correct and get it on a diet plan.

4600lb is extremely light for a 50' pleasure boat (with gel coat which is 400lbs+). Remember these customers paid someone else to rig the entire back half of the boat, therefore they had to watch weight and CG. Outerlimts never saw the Zuperman boat after the paint job was done and sent away for rigging. So when the boat is overweight, its not because of the boat design or boat hull.

Johnny O's runs very good, little over 160 with 1075's and he'll be running many of the poker runs in 2010 so I think others will finally see how fast and stable they are.

GD was #1 out of the mold and needed some adjustments to get dialed in, both in manufacturing and sea trial testing, just like any new boat. During the time when they wanted to test the hull and play with CG, the centrifugal belt/pulley system kept having issues so they never got to truly run it and develop it. My 48, which was #2, is lighter than GD as is My Way and Zupermans (hull and deck) as the mfg'ing techniques were fine tuned on #2 and above hulls.

I think others will be suprised how fast these hulls really are when they're setup properly. I think you'll see some big numbers by this time next year A full 6 person canopy in a pleasure boat style rigging is significantly different than a 2 or 4 person canopy in race form.

Guys, I'm not bashing, it is just what I and everyone else has seen, new OL cats for sale. With everyone so god d*mn secretive around here, it just adds to rumors. I for one think they are beautiful, sick interiors, etc......I am just die hard Skater.

BUT...

I have a hard time believing Justice runs 160 with 1075's......especially since all it takes is a computer change to 1200

and....

If Peter would put those My Way turbines in a new boat, not one that is 10 years old, I don't think we would be having this conversation.
