HELP! Need Aluminum Stock.

I am in the process of having a custom rail made for the deck of my boat and we're having trouble finding the right size aluminum stock.

I need a 12' piece measuring 5/16" x 1 1/4".

Any ideas ? Any manufacturer I've spoken to has a minimum order of a 100' or more.

Thanks for your help !

I use a place called Metal Supermarkets in Philly. They have alot of odd-ball things. I suppose shipping wouldn't be too much $.

tripps 04-13-2002 08:01 AM

Hey Wes, yes we do go out there sometimes, and i hear that the new boat club is trying to have a event out there and we might go, i have about 6 boats we travel with and are always ready to go. we are going to skaterfest for sure,by car. and puder ,my brain cant recall but just look in the yellow pages. what kind of welding are you trying to do? if that place does not have it,try mid island salvage in deerpark, they have everything and wes where do you go out east we are on the south shore and what boat do you have? tripps

WesSmith 04-13-2002 08:18 AM

Tripps,

Looks like I found my aluminum at HADCO in Jamaica . Thanks for your help .

Both Sean Olsen on this board and I boat out of Falcon High Performance Marine in Hampton Bays.

I have a 2001 27' Progression with a 496 HO.....

If you know anyone that might be interested in it , let me know as it might be for sale . I need a bigger boat now that Sean's moved up to 35' !

Let us know if and when you plan to come out east . There are a couple of places on the water to hook up .

Take it easy....

WesSmith 04-13-2002 10:22 AM

...it sure doesn't Fred , it sure doesn't !!!!

I'm thinking by the time I'm ready to buy , you'll be ready to sell and if your past rides are any gauge of the condition of your boats , I'll wanna be first on line. . ;) ;)

31' - 35' is the range I'll be looking for , so when ya get itchy....

tripps 04-14-2002 07:20 AM
