I will tell you one thing. After Stampeade swapped their computers out on Saturday i have never seen a v bottom run so fast into the harbor. They were absolutely screaming on Saturday during testing

The accusation that Stampede "purposely" tried to take out Cat Killer is unfathomable. Attempting a stunt like this only puts their own lives in danger. Brian is one of the best drivers on the water and a man of integrity. He wouldn't want to win by cheating - it's not how he's wired.
I am embarrased for Cat Killer. Daddy's girl is not representing their team well. I find it interesting that there has to be an excuse for their loss. Can it be that they were simply out driven, out maneuvered and out raced? Great Job Brian and Doc! You deserve the checkered flag. |

This is simply irrational....... The Stampede team had a boat that was perfectly set up to compete with your daddies old race boat( this is an old boat with new decals). I had a chance to meet both teams on Duval Street,, and the quality of the watercraft, and team spirt was overwhelming with the 42 Stampede. |
Does anyone remember the last 20 y.o. daughter that came on here defending "deddy"; and "deddy" turned out to be the bad guy/crook?

I went back and read the interview in Powerboat Mag ( 8-09)with the owner of the Stampede, "a class act" and a great team. My family and I met them and they they told informed us ( on Duval street parade), they considered investing into the that Cat Killer last fall ( KWest 2008) but was not interested in that old race boat,..... so they designed a new( one of a kind) first class boat for fountain. When I saw this boat with AC,Stereo, and 4 Seats,,, I tried to buy it from them,,,,, ( and we are not done negociating) I went by there pits ( and your fathers also) a few times,,,,,,, They were prepared, and focused,,,,,, for the entire week,!! Despite being emotionally attached to your fathers 47 foot boat,,, you are missing the big picture. The photos shown illustrate they were cut off in the turn, and your dad did not know the rules .... of giving them a lane, and not returning to the race after they left? It was a great show,,,,,, In the southern hemisphere,, we teach our youngersters if you find yourself digging a hole, .......first thing to do is stop digging Being a good looser is something you might want to try to develope in the next decade of life. |
