2010 Lake Havasu Desert Storm Poker Run info...
 

I know it's early but I just spoke to Jim Nichols (promoter of Lake Racer LLC / Desert Storm Poker Run) today and it got me pumped for this event.

Going to be another awesome run. This year will again bring some new additions to the venue (stay tuned for more info). But as of now the line up is looking great! The street party has been extended to a 6 block mega show & shine party that will be from noon to 9:30 pm. Poker run on Friday, Shoot-out on Saturday and POPRA Races on Sunday.

Like I said, I know it's early, but it's never too early to start planning for this one! Theres a reason why people from coast to coast come to this run...Simply put, it's a great time.

I have been wanting to do this run for a couple years. Where is a good place to stay and are there safe reserved slips?

is this run worth going to if you can't take your boat? if I get to go it will be a quickie trip without the boat. i've been to the lake twice but not during the run. maybe rent jet ski's?

There's also The Agave right on the water, new hotel with really nice rooms. No docks but it has a sea wall right in front of the hotel and you can beach next to the hotel in the channel.

The Islander rents mobile homes and has a private launch ramp and boat slips.

There's also the brand new Pirates Cove bar, grille and resort...Which is up river about 10 miles, past the sand bar near Topac. It also has it's own launch facilities, marina with slips and has become a hot party spot.
